I came across some pictures of the '68 at the last show i went to in nov. on this cold and crappy day I am bored so i thought i'd post them up, was a pretty awesome show/cruise, a good number of cars met at a local STS shop and we drove in a giant pack from the tire shop to the show, was pretty awesome, and alittle intimidating as i had Cougars and Bel Airs behind and in front of me, but it was extremely fun and enjoyable going as a convoy to the show, the towns we went through people literally stopped what they were doing and just watched us go by. I really hope I can find more shows like that; meet at a place and then cruise convoy style to the show.

Hiya jay,

Since VW did not paint any of their Type 1s black in 1970, I'm wondering what the original color of the car might have been.

It was either a red,or a pale blue not sure which as there are hidden areas both colors. The PO painted it the dark green, and even gave me a qt for touch up(if it's any good).Told ya rough but affordable at the time.

Hiya Tez,

Very nice car!

And only two POs?  Wow!  That's a great find.

How's the rust situation underneath?  I know that's a consideration over in England (it's the same here in the Oregon climate also!).
