While replacing the three 12mm Vacuum Hoses on My Beetle I measured the three of them
I'm sure I did this once before but couldn't find it written anywhere.

shortest one - control valve to vacuum tank is 240mms or 9 1/2 inches long.

the one from the manifold to the control valve is 400mm or 15 3/4 inches long

the hose from the clutch servo to the control valve is 620mms or 24 1/2 inches long

Now the longer two hoses can probably be an inch shorter approx..

and painting these hoses Yellow has no effect whatsoever on the vacuum... ;D ;D

Now many autostick owners like to use the original Belmetrix type of Hose available in the USA

I use a red colored truck Air Hose 1200 psi TOTALFLEX made in the USA..

Lee - Is that a vacuum gage on the left side? How do you use that information and what numbers do you see? Bob

No  Bob

its a fuel pressure gauge as I have an electric fuel pump and regulator
as the electric pump was flooding the carburetor...

I have never thought of using a vacuum gauge....
maybe in the future....????

cheers

Lee  in  50C degrees [well I'm inside in 26C]  but My beetle in the carport is....
